I LOVE this rolling pin. Superior weight and smoothness when you roll our dough. You do not have to keep going back over the dough multiple times to get the size you need like you do when you use a smaller one. Loved it so much I bought a second one to save for my granddaughter when she is ready for it!

This is a nice pin to have on hand during the holidays or any time you are baking in volume. It is beautifully crafted of dense hard maple here in the USA and rolls on a full length shaft that rides in metal bearings and extends completely through the comfortable handles. The 3-inch barrel diameter barrel provides a welcome bit of extra clearance for your knuckles while rolling as well as more weight than the average household pin. The barrel is left in the natural wood finish without varnish or waxes so flour readily adheres to its surface. Professional quality tools are not inexpensive. But considering that one of your great grandchildren will probably be happily using this pin decades from now they do represent a good value. The only downside to this excellent tool, due to its 25-inch overall length, is that convenient storage may be a bit problematic in some kitchens. In view of this pin's otherwise superior attributes, I think a minor storage issue is one well worth solving.
